Call of Duty XP Event

Los Angeles may not be getting any screen-time in Modern Warfare 3, but the city is set to host one of the biggest and most forward thinking Call of Duty events yet in the form of Call of Duty XP 2011. Usually hundreds of trigger-happy, gun-mad young men cooped up in a secure 12-acre compound in the urban confines of L.A would be cause for an ATF callout but this Labour Day weekend, the occasion is the first in what Activison promises will become an inaugural event for the CoD community. Starting out big, this year’s Call of Duty XP event will feature demos of Modern Warfare 3’s multiplayer and new Spec-Ops survival co-op modes, as well as a £1 million dollar Call of Duty tournament and paintball match set in recreated versions of your favourite Call of Duty maps.

As well as the debut of the new Modern Warfare 3 modes, a full-featured Call of Duty Elite will be on show for gamers to sample. Developers will also be on hand to host Q&A and discussion panels as well as a live CoD armoury/Museum will complement “AAA Live Entertainment” say Activision.
